Introduction
To improve network performance and management in my homelab, I integrated a UniFi switch and access point. The UniFi switch allows me to efficiently manage wired connections, providing Power over Ethernet (PoE) to devices like my U6+ Wi-Fi access point. With the UniFi controller, I can easily configure VLANs, monitor traffic, and optimize network performance from a centralized dashboard.
Story
I first purchased a Ubiquiti switch and AP, along with some more cables.
I then download the Unifi controller for the hardware, since I already have pfsense as firewall there was no need for me to buy one. In here I can view and manage all my devices connected through my switch.
